Services, Stores and Restaurants In Bloom This Spring

Southern Hills Plantation Club has everything you need for a great club lifestyle. And life outside the gates is getting better and better for residents with many new shopping options growing around the area.

“The small southern town charm of Brooksville is very compelling to our buyers looking for a slower pace,” said Southern Hills Sales Manager Steve Erick. “We hear from so many of our visitors who are looking for a retreat from the hectic pace of larger metropolitan areas.”

But Erick adds that everyone really wants the best of three worlds—a home that offers sanctuary in a small town, in a place with all the conveniences and with easy access to big city services and amenities. “Southern Hills has the first one down with Brooksville and the third one covered with the Suncoast Parkway linking residents to Tampa,” says Erick who is also a resident and club member of Southern Hills. “We are seeing more of those everyday conveniences opening close by and that is really making for the perfect opportunity to have it all.”

Just north on US 41 is a new Lowe’s and a shopping center with a Kohl’s, Target, Linens-n-Things, sandwich shop, hair salon and other services. Publix has opened a brand new grocery store with adjacent shops including a Starbucks and many others. A wide variety of restaurants and stores are already open along the SR 50 and Suncoast Parkway corridors including Panera Bread, Michael's, Old Navy, Marshall's, PetCo, Kirkland's, Sears, Belk, Ross, Radio Shack, JCPenny, Bealls, Carraba’s and Ruby Tuesday.

“All of the everyday retail and service necessities are very close by and the options are growing,” said Erick. “But you can still go for coffee or lunch in downtown Brooksville and leave the hustle and bustle of urban life far behind.”
